Swingles is a community for couples and singles in the lifestyle — swinging, open relationships and ethical non-monogamy — built for South Africa rather than adapted from somewhere else. Members set their own province and city, so browsing is genuinely local.

How it is paid for

There are no ads on Swingles, and we do not sell member data to anyone. The first 5,000 members get Unlimited free, for life. After that, the site is funded by a single optional payment: a once-off R200 unlock that lifts the daily message limit and opens private and premium galleries. There is no subscription, nothing renews, and no card details are stored.

A free account is a real account, not a demo. It includes a full profile and gallery, browsing and filtering every member, connections, unlimited chat rooms, registering for events and meets, and 30 direct messages a day.

How we try to keep it safe

• Connect before you chat. Messaging requires a mutual connection, so nobody can fill your inbox uninvited. Disconnecting ends it.
• Verification is done by a person. Members can verify by photographing themselves holding a handwritten note. A human reviews it, and the photo is deleted 30 days after the decision — we do not keep identity documents at all.
• Privacy is the default. You choose a username rather than using your real name, your exact location is never shown, and private galleries stay closed until you approve someone.
• Reporting goes to a real queue. Every report is reviewed, and accounts that break the rules are removed. We would rather lose a member than keep a problem.

Members who sell

Some members also earn here, selling premium galleries or hosting events and selling tickets. Sellers keep 80% of every sale and are paid in rands, by EFT, to a South African bank account. The full arrangement is in our terms.

What we are not

We are not a mainstream dating site, and if you are looking for a monogamous relationship this is the wrong place — our comparison of South African dating sites says so plainly and points elsewhere. We are also not an escort or sex-work platform: paying for sexual services is prohibited, and accounts advertising it are removed.
